An unexplored hill station situation approx 120 kilometers from Vishakhapatnam, Araku Valley is located in the gentle hills of Eastern Ghats. The place is also famous for exquisite coffee. Katiki Waterfall is a must-visit place in Araku Valley. The water in katiki Waterfall falls to the rocky terrains from the height of 100 ft. that offers a beautiful picturesque view which you can explore with all your families. The place is also interesting for adventure seekers as one needs to do a little trekking to reach the waterfall. One can also enjoy camping and a bonfire near the Waterfall. There is a famous local dish known as a bamboo chicken, if you are a non-veg lover you must give this food a try. From 6 AM to 7 PM is considered the best time to visit the waterfall. There is no entry fee for visiting the spot. 

 

 

Matsyagundam near Paderu harbors is a fish pool that offers to witness a variety of fishes. There is also an old temple near the pool known as Sri Matsyalingeshwara Swamy Temple. There is interesting folklore about this place which you should know from the locals, for now, all you can know is the locals don't kill or consume the fishes from that pool and the reason is because of that folklore. There are no charges to enter the spot. Mahashivratri will be the best time to visit as the locals celebrate the festival with extreme joy and you will also get to know more about their culture.


 

Located at the origin of River Gosthani, Bheemili Beach offers aesthetic sightseeing. One can witness the remnants of 17th-century British and Dutch settlements, including a fort and cemetery. In the colonial era, East India Companies used to have their trading ports here. Recently for tourist attractions, a beach park has also been built on Vishakhapatnam - Bheemili beach road. The beach is perfectly comfortable for amazing and adventurous water sports. 4 hours to half-day is enough for this place to have a proper fun and adventure experience. 


 

September to February is the peak season, during these months you will experience pleasant weather throughout the day with cooler nights. The average temperature during these months ranges between 14 degrees Celsius to 27 degrees Celsius. Tourists prefer sightseeing and outdoor activities during these months. 

 

You will witness a moderate crowd between March to May. You will experience pleasant weather during these months also but with slightly higher temperatures. The average temperature during these months fluctuates between 17 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius. 

 


 

From June to August, Araku Valley witnesses very few tourists. Araku Valley receives moderate to heavy rainfall during these months. The average temperature during these months ranges between 20 degrees Celsius to 31 degrees Celsius.
