One of the largest salt Marsh areas in the whole world with an area of 7500 square kilometers, The Great Rann of Kutch is situated in the Thar desert of Gujarat. 

 

Visiting Kutch will be incomplete without witnessing the Grand Festival of the Rann Utsav. Because of the salt desert remember to save your curse or rashes (if you have any). You will get some wet salt desert so be careful after visiting. Wear proper footwear because sometimes this gets stuck to the footwear which will make the rest of the journey very uncomfortable. 

You will find the member of control of the Indian Army, but there is nothing to be thought of. Because of the sensitive area due to its proximity to Pakistan, it is categorized as sensitive. The control of the Indian army only Guards the areas. They will not disturb you in any kind. But make sure to carry your ID proof which will be checked on the check post. You are not allowed to enter your vehicles after the BSF checkpoint. From April to June Kutch welcomes summer. The average temperature during these months is between 24 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius. Sometimes the temperature goes up to 50 degrees Celsius at noon. Kutch witnessed extreme heat and humidity during summers, it's not the best time to travel in Kutch, so it is advised not to plan your trip during summer. The nights are a little relaxing but you will not feel that refreshment because of the arid landscape. 

 

Kutch welcomes Monsoon from June and stays till September. The average temperature during monsoon in Kutch is between 26 degrees Celsius to 39 degrees Celsius.
