Pothamedu View Point is a lush green mountain, which offers an amazing spectacular wide view of the surrounding plantation plains. The mountain is known for witnessing beautiful sunrise and sunsets. One can also see the Idukki Arch Dam which is 60 kilometers away from the viewpoint on a clear day. 

 

The elephant arrival spot offers you to take an elephant ride, which is 18 kilometers away from Munnar. Visitors are welcome anytime in the day. But if someone wants to take an elephant ride they should visit between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Entering the elephant arrival is free but there will be any specific amount charged for the ride. Remember to rub any antiseptic lotion to get rid of leeches. 

Echo point, Kundala Lake, Top Station, and Yellapwtty View Point are some other attractions near the elephant arrival spot, where one can visit. 

 

Don't forget to visit Tata tea or the KDHP museum. Which is located in Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea approx 2 kilometers away from Munnar. The museum offers a 30-minute documentary that will take you into the history of the museum. A variety of antiquities are showcased. After then visitors are allowed to enter the factory to understand the process of tea making. You will be charged to enter the museum for INR 75 for adults and INR 35 for children aged 6 to 12 years. You will be charged an additional fee for photography of INR 20. Tourists are allowed to enter the Museum between 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

Blossom Park located about 3 km away from the town of Munnar, offers you to feel the fantastic vibe of nature. Besides lots of flowers, the park also has a treehouse ropeway and artificial waterfalls. It is advised to wear comfortable footwear. 1 to 2 hours are enough to explore the entire Park. Tourists are allowed to visit the park between 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. there is an entry fee of INR 10 for adults and INR for kids aged below 12 years.

 

We can't consider any specific period to visit Munnar, it is an evergreen destination. If someone wants to go in any season whether the summer, winter, or monsoon Munnar will not fail to impress. 

Talking about the temperature. From December to February Munnar witnessed winter. The weather remains pleasant all day.
