One of the most popular falls in the North East, located near Shillong is Elephant falls. The local people of Khasi call the fall 'Ka Kshaid Lai Khohsiew'. Here you will get to see three falls at one spot. Your phone is situated between dense forests. It is advised to wear comfortable shoes with a good grip to avoid certain slips on the stair because you need to take at least 100 stairs to reach the elephant fall. There is no entry fee and it will take less than an hour to explore the fall. Tourists are allowed to come near the fall between 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., remember that the elephant fall remains closed on Sundays. 

 

Shillong Peak offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire surrounding, the Himalayas, waterfall, and even the Bangladesh landscape.
