The Blue City

Entry to Mehrangarh Fort is free for all visitors on Jodhpur foundation day, the 12th of May. Tourists are allowed to carry cameras with them but it costs an additional INR 100. An audio guide is also available in Mehrangarh Fort for INR 600 for foreign tourists and INR 400 for foreign students. It is advised to wear comfortable footwear and hats to escape from extreme heat. 


 

Jaswant Thada, the Taj Mahal of Marwar is one of the beautiful pure white marble cenotaphs, which still retains its allure. You will get to witness Local musicians and folk singers sitting on the steps to welcome the visitors with authentic Rajasthani melodious songs. Tourists are allowed to visit from 9 am to 5 pm. The entry fee for Indians is INR 15 for both adults and children whereas for foreign tourists it is INR 30 for both adults and children. Tourists are allowed to capture the moment; the Still camera costs INR 25 whereas the Video camera costs INR 50. It is advised to explore both Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada on the same day because both the spots are quite close to each other.

There is no entry fee to visit the Mandore Garden but if one wants to visit the museum there is an entry fee of INR 50. Tourists are allowed to visit from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. 

 

Last but not the list you can take a tour to Ghanta Ghar located near Nai Sadak. There is no entry fee. There are two benefits of visiting Ghanta Ghar. The first thing is you can explore the place and the second is the market surrounding the Ghanta Ghar.
